Deaf United Organization (DUO) is a Deaf-centered nonprofit serving Northwest Arkansas and surrounding communities.
We create opportunities for Deaf and hearing people to connect, learn, communicate, participate, and grow together.
Our Purpose
DUO exists to build a stronger community through three commitments:
- Connect — Create welcoming opportunities to meet others, build relationships, and share experiences.
- Educate — Increase understanding of Deaf culture, American Sign Language, communication access, and the Deaf experience.
- Empower — Encourage participation, leadership, advocacy, volunteering, and positive community change.
Our Community
DUO welcomes Deaf, hard of hearing, hearing, ASL learners, families, friends, allies, and community partners. Our goal is to make connection and participation easier while keeping Deaf culture and lived experience at the center.
